I’m 21 years old and from the small town of Elizabeth, CO. Sports have always been a huge part of my life – so much that I decided to major in Sport Management at UCCS (University of Colorado – Colorado Springs). I’m now heading into my senior year of college at UCCS and spending the summer interning for the Colts. While I’ll admit baseball hasn’t always been my #1 sport growing up, the Colts have been doing a good job at quickly turning me into a fan. I’ve grown to love spending my Sundays watching a great baseball team while also grilling (but mostly eating) hot dogs and hamburgers. I’m still slightly unsure of what I want to do in the sporting world once I graduate, but as of now I’m headed in the direction of becoming an athletic director. I would like to be an AD at the high school level just because I know the important role athletics can play in a kid’s life at that point. I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season has in store for the Colts, and I’m very glad to be a part of such an awesome team!
I am 17 years old from Arvada Colorado. I have been around sports my entire life which has influenced what I want to do, which is Sports Management, Marketing, and Sports Broadcasting. I am one of the lead Sports Broadcasters at Regis Jesuit High School. I will be heading into my junior year. One of the main reasons that I wanted to work for the Colts is because I have a strong passion for sports behind the scenes like the marketing. And when the opportunity came up to join the Colts for the summer I couldn’t reject it. During this internship I have realized that there is a lot more than signing a big name player or setting up a charity golf tournament. You have to be able to set up anything like a YouTube page or posting on Facebook and Twitter or being able to take pictures and maintain the concession stand at home games. You have to be able to do just about everything. With all this knowledge it makes me want to pursue my dream career of being a front office executive even more.
