What an exciting week for the Colts! The Arvada Chamber hosted the first annual Sand in the City event where teams built giant sculptures of sand and who better to help them move sand than the Colts? The Colts helped on Thursday and Friday with the event and helped promote the team. Friday, June 14, was Safety Night out at the Colts game at Long Lake Ranch sponsored by Personal Benefit Services Wealth Management. It was a huge success! The participants of the Colt’s Youth Camp were welcomed to come onto the field with the players during the National Anthem, beers were flowing in the beer garden, and the Flight for Life helicopter landed on the field next to ours. Personal Benefits also raffled away club level Rockies tickets! Brian with Jiffy Dog was a great help supplying quality hot dogs, burgers and brats as well as chips and drinks to the hungry spectators. The Colts lost 13-4 to the Seattle Studs. On Sunday June 16, the Colts helped out at the Father’s Day Car Show and played a double header against the Seattle Studs at Long Lake Ranch. They won both games on Sunday, the first game 4-3 and the second 5-4. Overall, it was a great week for the Colts!
